Author: Ava Catori

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Kate Tanner sees everything she wants in Austin. After falling for a charming and handsome military man, Kate realizes he may not return her feelings.

Will Austin fall in love with Kate, or has he hardened from past hurts? Just as he starts to warm up, things are turned upside down. Kate and Austin have to decide if their feelings are worth fighting for, or if walking away will be beneficial to them both.

With the threat of being separated, can Kate and Austin find a way to make things work? Having Austin in her life is more than Kate ever wanted, but she’s learning he’s all that she needs.

Kate’s last boyfriend still stalks her, and she’s decided she’s not good with guys. Either she gives too little or too much. Maybe she should go without guys for a while. But then she sees charming and handsome Austin, and her reservations melt. She longs for him and she wants him. But Austin is a soldier back from going on tour, and even though he yearns for Kate as well, he has trouble written all over him. Dark secrets from his past come back to haunt him night and day, making their relationship difficult if not impossible…

I enjoyed reading about Kate and Austin’s dynamic and unpredictable relationship in this sweet but short romance novel. Austin is a good guy, and I liked that about him. He’s still Alpha though, no worries, but he has a kind heart and is willing to help others in need. Kate is good natured as well, but a bit more passive than Austin, hence why I liked him more.

The story wasn’t that original, but I liked the writing, and it was a fast, enjoyable read.
